Do you support an artificial field at Winskill and the improvements at Brandrith?

I think Jim raises some excellent points here. I am hopeful that the new group considers them when they are making any new pitch to the Government.

I fully support an artificial turf field at Winskill and improvements at Brandrith ( they could update the lighting ) but not at the expense of the grass soccer field . The park is not a mini Softball City as I heard that Softball wanted to push to move soccer to the new turf field and take over all of Brandrith . Here's the problem. Holly Turf is great for soccer , not so great for field hockey as the surface is too slow . A new turf field in Tsaw. would almost certainly take that into consideration making it not so great for soccer. If the soccer club commits the $200K again , I think they should have some input into the surface used.
Ten years ago , the U-10 Boys soccer , interlocking with Ladner , had a great little pitch to play on at Cliff Drive on the field directly behind the school . Softball came along and skinned the field rendering it useless for soccer ( why would anyone ever consider playing softball on grass ??? What a concept ) . Brandrith Soccer field was constructed as part of the South Delta Rec. incentive that also saw Brandrith Softball City created along with the clubhouse that does not have a single dressing room ( another story ) .

For the 2 1/2 months of the year Softball is is running , it would be a shame to eliminate Tsaw.'s best soccer field.
Ray Davis , a former vice-pres of the soccer club proposed 16 years ago that Softball and soccer "share " a large field when planning the layout of Brandrith but Softball had no interest , therefore 2 separate surfaces exist .

Soccer was also meant to be played on grass .

You will be able to sign here at this site or on a seperate sheet. Details are being worked out and will be posted in the next few days.

Where do we sign up to support the field (with lights!!!!) and Brandridth improvements?
