Council Accepts TAPC submission. Does that mean things are carved in stone? Of course not!

Delta Council voted to accept the submission from the TAPC on Monday night. Some zoning designation changes will increase density around the "town centre" which will also allow for some new housing form which can only be good.

The Southlands will retain its' agriculture zoning designation and some building height changes will occur in Boundary Bay and the town centre.

People seem to forget that even with updated area plans and official community plans, changes can be made. Staff and our governors have always referred to these plans as "fluid" that is what a plan is.

As has been the case forever, if a developer wants to make a change in zoning he or she will apply for a community plan amendment to bring forth the case.

Don't think that the Southlands issue is gone because it is not.

I am going to guess that century attempts to sell some of the land. Whether a farmer buys it remains to be seen. maybe some of the people who think the land should remain as is can come up with a cheque and return deed it to the community?
that is correct. plans are called plans for a reason
