TAPC meeting on Thursday night
Wow....that was quite something. For a committee that has been meeting for the better part of a year this meeting looked like it was their first!
I'm looking forward to hearing a taped version so I can try to understand what Heather King was talking about. On several occasions she would take the mic to pontificate and contradict herself.
I was surprised by her shameless stickhandling and pandering to the crowd. Doesn't anyone have the courage to be controversial and visionary?

Not the clearest meeting that is for sure.
Another poiunt that is floating around out there is that the committee voted 8 to 1 against any development on the Southlands.
This is simply not the case. The vote was to include the additional paragraph describing potential use of the land as added by Mr. Konkin.
There was never any concensus among the committee as to best use of the land and there still isn't
Ya....confusing at best. Didn'ytlook like staff or the committee knew what was going on. Committee member Robertson wasn't prepared for the meeting apparently as he mentioned on several occassions that he hadn't read the updates.
This whole thing has been an embarrassing gong show. Mike...What do you think?
