How do you negotiate when "No" is your opening position?

Sylvia Bishop doesn't want anything to change on the Southlands. The only alternative in her view and many others on the "Save the Southlands Committee" is to put the land back in to the ALR.

What about people who want something done on the lands? How does a give and take discussion take place?

Sylvia's most recent community comment suggests that a discussion can be avoided by threatening elected officials with their jobs.

Why is that only some of the letters to the editor are presented in an online format?

Perhaps so that they can not be easily circulated? I would like to know how the decision is made. Ted...can you help us here?
