An independent is not government nor is it the official opposition. The protest vote in South Delta and particularly Tsawwassen believes that can "send a message" to the Liberal Government.
What good is that "message' if the elected representative is essentially without a voice in Victoria? Does that do South Deltans any good? The simple answer is no it does not.

Careful, an 'Independent' Delta voice will fall on 'deaf' Victoria ears! Think twice before you vote, because you have the power to truly isolate this community. And if you thought our voices have not been heard in the past, then try to listen after you make that vital error - because the silence coming out of Victoria will truly be deafening!

I think you might be underestimating what an independent could do. If the legislature is close vicki could be a determining vote on critical issues

I think that Vicki Huntington is what South Delta needs. She knows the issues and is willing to stand up for them in Victoria
