Planning to plant

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 31 March 2015

Mrs. Morrow's grade three class were working hard today to plan seeding on their school neighbourhood farm. With Beets, Kale, Carrots, and Arugula already in they have decided on Romaine, Chard and Spinach for next week. Working with a seed chart they were able to determine what they can plant over the coming weeks of spring. This makes math fun!

50 young farmers every Friday morning. Should be fun! This week, harvesting coriander and arugula just in time for Thanksgiving.

It was also great to see that there is another class from the school that will participating in our weekly activities!

Great to see the English Bluff kids today! There is lots to do but lots already happening for the fall. Sage is looking great, Dill and Cilantro are trying hard for another go around before frost and Arugula looks fantastic.

This class is so enthusiastic and they really took on to the seed chart and were able to understand what veggies would produce the longest yield. Quite impressive!
