Green for Greens at Holly Elementary

One of the key fundamentals of the Project Pickle initiative is to teach kids about jobs and outcomes in the food economy. Not only did the kids plant the crops, they harvested them and are bagging and marketing them to their parents. Ultimately they are going to be eating them as well. Talk about buying and eating local! Neighbourhood School farms in the Delta School District are teaching kids all kinds of things about food. Yet another day of magic while keeping kids fingers dirty with Project Pickle.

Is that how you spell it? Anyway we picked up a bag and ate about half of it. Nice little kick to it that is for sure. Delicious!
