English Bluff Worm Stomp

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 04 November 2014

It turned out to be a great day for planting some daffodils in Tswawassen today. Additionally, after a boatload of rain recently, the ground was perfect for a worm stomp!

Once the plants are over a foot high and wide they are generally quite hardy but over an extended cold spell of 5-10 days below zero it is a good idea to cover them with burlap just to be sure.

The only herb that seems to be able to survive a three or four day cold spell is my Rosemary. Do you think I should cover it regardless when it is below freezing?

A mild winter....yes but generaly any hard frost will kill the plants. I have a secondary crop on the go right now which will be covered with hay next week and we will see what happens.

Can Cilantro make it through a mild winter?
