It is beginning to look a lot spring already!

There are a couple of schools that have carrots in the ground from last fall and some that were seeded as an experiment have managed to germinate over the winter

We did some experimenting with some veggies to see if some would hazard an attempt to germinate in off season.We chose a couple of sites that were realatively sheltered and we are happy to say...yes, some carrots have germinated. We will wait to see though. Still lots of opportunity for hard frosts.

My daughter told me that there are carrots growing on her school farm. Is that possible?

Yes there are dozens and dozens of daffodils popping up all over Delta. In a few short weeks they will harvested and donated to the Candian Cancer Society.
