Cukes Out Daffs In

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 01 November 2014

Young farmers from Holly Elementary School in Ladner pull the rest of their cucumbers and potatoes and put 50 daffodil bulbs in the ground. As usual, the kids had a blast!

It's a lttle early to put seed outside but if you have plants in from last year you will likely see that they are already growing.

You can start by seed inside and transplant in late Feb through until May.

Also, can I plant strawberries outside yet?

I picked up some of the finished product from Chef Boyle yesterday and in the interest of science, I had to sample batch. Spectacular is the only true word to se!

An unbelievable yeild from this 4X8 frame. The cucumbers loved the compost that the kids built in to the soil in the spring. Every time we tended to this farm during the summer we would come away with at least a dozen cucumbers. Quite incredible actually.
