Corn Peas and Sunflowers

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 09 April 2015

Today the kids got Romaine Chard and Spinach in the ground and decided by lottery what should go in next week. That are keeping track of the seeding and using some maths and art skills to remember how much room they have to plant. Another great day!

Science and math are a big part of Project Pickle. The Delta School District is embracing the new curriculum and the classroom moving outside periodically is beneficial for the kids.

The classes are using their math skills to determine best yield. Very impressive!

My niece would like to plant some tomatoes. Can she plant them now?

The young farmers are recording their work on seed maps so they can remember what went to the ground and when.
