Composting is fun

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 06 December 2012

Grade 5 and 6 learners at Pebble Hill Traditional were taught the first of several units on composting today. The assignment? Take a paper lunch bag home for the weekend and fill it up with green and brown items in preparation for digging into soil next week. Many of the kids wrote welcoming messages for worms on their bags. Lots of fun!

I've attached a short composting guide to this page so you can make sure that your worm resort is popular!

Absolutely! Even in a semi hard frost, proper composting technique will allow for the process to occur. Keep those worms happy!

Can composting happen in the winter months?

The grade 5/6 class at Pebble Hill Elementary asked some really good questions about composting to day! The composting road show will continue through Tsawwassen elementary schools next week.
