As the days start getting shorter and the rains start reminding us that we live in a rain forest, any excuse is good to get outside.

Preparing compost is certainly a good excuse to get outside. In this video the importance of mixture is explained.

Are egg shells ok? I keep hearing varying stories

Ok....the pumpkins have been all chopped up and will rot nicely in the veggie garden.

I like to put kelp and seaweed in my mix as well. The Kelp breaks down beautifully.
