Beach Grove Elementary Lumber Crew

By BYCOOP admin - Posted on 31 January 2013

A bunch of keen learners do the grunt work so that old farmer Mike dosen't hurt himself. Well done kids!!

All The lumber we have been using is Cedar. For the most part it has been smooth sided yellow cedar which is less porous than western red cedar. Both will do the trick but definitely stick with Cedar. Do not use anything that has been treated. Hope this helps!

What is the best lumber to use so that the raised beds last a decent length of time. This wood looks really white. Is it Pine?

These kids are having way too much fun!!
