It's been three months and I still feel the same.one more quick reflection
It only takes a few hours with children on Christmas day to realize where we should be directing the majority of our energies. At my mothers house this past Monday, kids from the ages of six months to eleven years were romping around amidst wrapping paper, toys and chunks of shortbread as puppies chased each other in circles through the kitchen and living room while ducking appropriately under the coffee table.
Let's Try to work together for the kids in 2007!

Goofy Delta Policy...Again!
If Friday is an example of what we can expect from our "emergency operations centre" in the event of a real emergency i think we are all in for a little trouble.
I checked my e-mail at around 10:30 on Thursday night as I was expecting some correspondence. It was only then did I see a note from one of the South Park PAC parents referring me to the Delta School Boards website.

Humans Causing Intense Storms? Apparently not.....
The 2006 Hurricane season has ended without a single storm landfall on either the Gulf or East Coasts. If you were frightened by that imagery in "An Inconvenient Truth" apparently there is no need for you to be. The following is a press release from the WMO that plainly states that a lot of the fear mongering out there is ill founded......

I had the opportunity to visit Delta Port the other day with my daughter's grade six class. It was a fascinating trip. Children are very cool people. Smiles all the time..a sense of inherent wonderment of the world and a simplistic objectivity that is refreshing as an alternative to bombast.
